The Somass Lands Deconstruction Project provided hands‑on training in construction waste reduction, material recovery, and circular economy principles. Through this initiative, students gained practical experience on the redevelopment of the 43‑acre former Somass sawmill site, which was transformed using deconstruction and salvage practices. The project equipped participants with real‑world skills in dismantling structures, safely recovering reusable materials, and applying circular approaches within the construction sector.
